On 19 August 2025 (Tuesday) at 18:00 there was a launch event for Cricket Tasmania High Performance / North West Raiders Programme at The Point, West Park, Burnie, with over 50 attendees.
After welcome and introduction by CNW President (Scott Pearce), Greg Hechter (CT Head of Talent and Development) outlined plans for Ct High Performance / North West Raiders Programme for the upcoming period. Andrew Gale (Male Pathways Head Coach) and Natalie Schilov (Female Pathways Head Coach) provided further information on the programme and presented players with GN Raiders kit.
As Greg Hechter summarised, “Cricket Tasmania is delighted to align the pathway program for high potential cricketers in the greater north of the state with the Raiders brand. Players will move through the pathway tiers from Rookie Raiders, Raiders development players to Emerging Raiders with eventual graduation to full selection in the senior male and female Raiders squad that compete in the CTPL. We are excited to turn the greater north orange as we look to unearth our next cricketer from the greater north of the state to represent Tasmania and ultimately Australia".
Upcoming 5 week block training sessions for NW participants commence on:
- Tuesday 26 August – 5:30-7pm in Burnie for the western group
- Friday 29 August – 6-7:30pm in Ulverstone for the eastern group
