This edition of the Teams of the Decades, celebrates the modern-day stars of the men’s competition, covering the period between 2010-11 to 2019-20.

Led by Josh Walmsley and Jacob Snare, the Decade started with Ulverstone establishing itself as the new powerhouse of the competition by winning five of the first six premierships in the Decade.

That run included a sensational win over Wynyard in the 2012-13 decider, which was highlighted by a heroic performance, in a losing cause, by Wynyard's opening bowler Andrew Davidson, who took all 10 wickets in Ulverstone's first innings.

The Black Caps’ run at an historic fifth-straight flag was ended by Devonport in 2014-15. Burnie and Latrobe took turns in taking out the final four premierships of the Decade, with the Demons’ success in 2019-20 coming after the season was cut short ahead of the finals due to the Covid pandemic.

The team also features two players, in Latrobe’s Trent Keep and Devonport’s Singaporean import Anish Paraam, who just reached the minimum season requirements, but they simply couldn’t be ignored with their outstanding contributions with the bat.

Davidson leads an excellent bowling attack with Aiden Marshall, Dion Parsons and Chris Lindsay all fighting over the new ball, while Snare and Tristan Weeks are the spin options.

Rounding out the team are Orions opener Miles Barnard, dynamic Sheffield wicketkeeper-batsman Alex King and Wynyard's Gregg Sharman.

The 2010s team features two players, Walmsley and Sharman, who were selected in the 2000s Team of the Decade.
